BIG BROTHERS/BIG SISTERS FREE CLINIC

The SJTA is partnering with Big Brothers/Big Sisters for a FREE clinic on April 8th at South Reno Tennis.  Membership with BBBS is required.  For additional information, please contact Beth Osborne at bosborne@bbbsnn.org

BOYS & GIRLS CLUB TENNIS WEEK

SJTA provides one week of tennis every summer at a low cost price hosted across the street from the William N. Pennington Facility at the Reno High School Tennis Courts. Please contact the facility at (775) 331-5437 to register for our camp running July 9-13, 2018

TENNIS BUDDIES OF RENO

A fun, interactive, and supportive environment for individuals with Down Syndrome and other developmental disabilities where athletes can improve their fitness levels and learn to play tennis.  

Requirements for Participation (participant must meet all of the below criteria):

  • Ages 8 & up
  • Have Down Syndrome or other developmental disability
  • Able to walk without assistive device
  • Able to sidestep to both sides

Spring Program hosted by the University of Nevada will run weekly and include a FREE Jamboree on April 13th (registration required).

Dates: April 13, 20, 24 and May 4, 11, 18.  $25/athlete for 5-week program. Check out the CALENDAR for dates and details.

We need volunteers for our Tennis Buddies program!

If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the form below.  Or, you can print, sign, and return this VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION FORM to tennis@sierrajuniortennis.org. We are a 501(c)3 so your hours can count toward credit for your school volunteer hours.

    By clicking "YES" I give permission to be photographed and/or videotaped in print or electronic media by the Sierra Junior Tennis Association (SJTA) or third parties acting on behalf of SJTA. I acknowledge and agree that photographs and videos may be edited and used in whole or in part as desired for the purpose, which may be produced, duplicated, distributed and used for informational, promotional or other public purposes. I understand that photographs and video are not my property and there will be no compensation to me. I understand and authorize the use in writing or otherwise my name.
  • By typing my name above, I hereby expressly acknowledge that tennis, like many sports, involves movement and physical activity, and that injury or mishap are possibilities in spite of all reasonable safeguards and precautions taken. Further, I hereby expressly acknowledge that photographs and/or videos may be taken by parties outside the control of SJTA in connection with participating in program. I acknowledge that SJTA has limited or no control over such activities of third parties and has no control over any editing and/or use of such photos and/or video footage. I accept such risks as reasonable and proper, and agree to hold harmless the officers, principals, staff and volunteers of SJTA and the University of Nevada - Reno should injury or mishap occur in this regard.
